After 14 years as first assistant professional at Mohansic Golf Course, Skip Marini is entering his f0urth year as Head Golf Professional at Somers National Golf Course. He has a decorated history in the game of golf. Starting off at the young age of 10, Skip learned the play of the game from his grandfather. From there, he enjoyed the game as a pastime but in 2006 decided to make it his career. He passed the PGA Playing Ability Test in July 2007, entered the PGA program in July 2008, and in 2010, won his first professional tournament at the Westchester Golf Association Pro-Am at Mt. Kisco Country Club. Since then, he is now in his 1th year as Director of Golf Instruction for YAC, Head Coach of the Yorktown High School Varsity Golf Team and has 3 career Holes in One.
Skip is a Certified Instructor for the First Tee of Metropolitan New York and First Aid and CPR/AED training certified.
